Call of Duty BO6 Goes Looney: Season 4 Reloaded Brings Cel-Shading, Beavis & Butt-Head, and New Battlegrounds

Get ready for a blast from the past and a dose of animated chaos as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone are set to launch their massive Season 4 Reloaded update on July 2nd. This mid-season refresh is packed with new content, including the iconic duo Beavis and Butt-Head, a zany cartoon-themed event, new maps, and significant updates across all modes.
Multiplayer Mayhem
Multiplayer fans can look forward to two new maps. Eclipse is a brand-new, small-sized map set in a vibrant nightclub, perfect for fast-paced 6v6 and 2v2 action. Meanwhile, the fan-favorite map Fringe from Black Ops 3 makes its triumphant return, remastered for the current generation.
In keeping with the season's cartoon theme, a new "CODtoons Moshpit" playlist will introduce cel-shaded versions of popular maps like Nuketown, Babylon, and more. A new limited-time mode called Party Ops will also be introduced, challenging players to compete in a series of random, fast-paced minigames.
A New Chapter for Zombies
The undead are also getting a cartoon makeover. Zombies players can dive into a cel-shaded version of Liberty Falls in a new limited-time mode, the "Abomination Challenge," where they'll face off against a super-powered boss. A "Starting Room" LTM will also test your survival skills in a confined space against endless hordes. For the competitive players, new leaderboard events are being introduced, allowing you to prove your zombie-slaying prowess.
Warzone Gets an Animated Overhaul
Warzone isn't being left out of the fun, with Rebirth Island receiving a temporary cel-shaded look later in the mid-season. Players can also get their hands on new gameplay items like the Hand Cannon and Door Barricade by calling in Care Packages. A new "Loot Master" perk will boost your scavenging abilities in Resurgence and Plunder modes, and a new "Search & Destroy" contract will offer fresh challenges. Competitive players will be happy to hear that Resurgence Ranked Play is returning to Rebirth Island.
Beavis and Butt-Head Arrive
Perhaps the most surprising addition is the arrival of the legendary '90s animated icons, Beavis and Butt-Head, as playable operators. A special event will allow players to unlock these characters, along with other themed rewards. New weapons, including the Olympia shotgun and the Pickaxe melee weapon, will also be available to earn through the event.
With a plethora of new content and a zany, cartoonish twist, the Season 4 Reloaded update is shaping up to be one of the most unique and content-rich mid-season updates in recent Call of Duty history.
