Trump Announces U.S. Airstrikes on Iranian Nuclear Sites, Calls for Peace

Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Saturday to announce what he called a “very successful attack” on three key Iranian nuclear sites — Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan — amid rising Middle East tensions.

“All planes are now outside of Iran air space,” Trump wrote. “A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this.”

Trump, known for his bold rhetoric, ended the post with a surprising shift in tone — urging restraint following the strikes:

“NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

The announcement comes as U.S. and Israeli military actions have ramped up across the region, targeting Iranian assets in an effort to curb the country’s nuclear ambitions and influence.

This strike marks another escalation point in the complex U.S.–Iran dynamic, with global leaders now watching closely to see whether Iran will retaliate — or whether Trump’s call for de-escalation will stick.
