Jamie Lee Curtis & Lindsay Lohan Reunite for Freakier Friday—But It's the Plastic Surgery Talk That’s Grabbing Headlines

Jamie Lee Curtis Blasts Cosmetic Surgery Culture: "We’ve Wiped Out Generations of Natural Beauty"
Hollywood icon Jamie Lee Curtis isn’t holding back when it comes to the pressure women face to alter their appearance—and she’s making her boldest statement yet as the buzz builds for the release of Freakier Friday, co-starring Lindsay Lohan.
In a no-holds-barred interview with The Guardian, Curtis, 66, likened the industry’s obsession with cosmetic procedures to a “genocide” of natural beauty, especially among women. Her comments land just as renewed speculation swirls around Lohan, 39, whose radiant appearance has sparked online rumors of everything from fillers to a facelift—rumors the actress has publicly denied.
👄 Curtis Gets Candid — And Symbolic
Dressed in a plaid suit with a cinched waist and oversized wax lips, Curtis made her stance visually clear:
“The wax lips is my statement against plastic surgery… I’ve used the word ‘genocide’ for a long time. I believe we’ve wiped out a generation or two of natural human [appearance].”
She didn’t stop there—Curtis went on to criticize the role AI and digital filters play in distorting beauty standards:
“The filter face is what people want… Better is fake.”
Though she underwent minor surgery herself years ago and regrets it, Curtis emphasized she doesn’t judge others:
“Once you start, you can’t stop. But it’s not my job to give my opinion—it’s none of my business.”
💋 Lohan Responds to Speculation
Meanwhile, Lohan—her Freaky Friday co-star turned longtime friend—has found herself at the center of intense scrutiny online. The Irish Wish and Mean Girls star has denied going under the knife, instead crediting her glow to healthy habits, Botox, and laser treatments.
“Everyone does Botox,” she told Elle, while listing her skincare go-tos, like eye patches, chia-infused water, cold water facials, and a unique carrot-ginger-olive oil morning juice.
Despite the rumors, Lohan downplayed the idea of cosmetic surgery with a laugh:
“With what time? Where?”

Curtis also spoke warmly of her bond with Lohan, whom she first worked with in 2003’s Freaky Friday.
“I felt tremendous maternal care for Lindsay... She doesn’t need my advice. She’s a fully functioning, smart woman.”
Now a mom herself, Lohan shares a son, Luai, with husband Bader Shammas. Curtis acknowledged their evolving dynamic, saying they’ve grown from co-stars to trusted friends and colleagues.
