Kelly Osbourne’s Engagement Ring Has a Heartwarming Link to the Late Joan Rivers

Talk about full circle. Kelly Osbourne is officially engaged to Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson, and the ring he proposed with isn’t just stunning — it carries a deeply personal and unexpected connection to one of Kelly’s dearest friends: the legendary Joan Rivers.

The magical moment unfolded backstage on July 5, during what was also a monumental occasion — Ozzy Osbourne’s final concert with Black Sabbath. As emotions ran high, Wilson got down on one knee in front of the Osbourne family and crew, presenting an 18k yellow gold beehive-inspired ring covered in dazzling diamonds.

Ozzy, ever the rocker dad, reportedly blurted out, “F—k you, you’re not marrying my daughter,” before breaking into a grin and tugging Wilson over to admire the ring’s shine.

🐝 The “Honeybee” Ring & a Surprising Coincidence

In a video posted by luxury jeweler Mouawad on July 7, Wilson shared the heartfelt design process behind the custom ring.
He revealed his personal nickname for Kelly — “Honeybee” — and the ring was created to honor that.

“I want it to be a special thing, not just something anyone can have,” Wilson explained.
 “So, I have a nickname for Kelly — it's 'Honeybee'.”

Then came the surprise: Joan Rivers, Kelly’s late friend and Fashion Police co-host, also used to call her “Honeybee.”
Wilson had no idea.

“It’s an amazing coincidence,” he said. “I didn’t know. It’s like it was meant to be.”

💫 A Ring Fit for a Fairy Tale

Wilson shared that Kelly earned the sweet nickname because she’s always buzzing around, spreading good vibes like a bee. When he returned to pick up the finished ring, his reaction said it all:

“It’s blinding! It sparkles! She’s going to love that,” he said, covering his mouth in awe.
 “It’s more than perfect. It’s a fairy tale.”

From 2011 to 2014, Kelly co-hosted E!’s Fashion Police alongside Rivers. Their bond went beyond the cameras — they became close friends, with Joan becoming a mentor and maternal figure to Kelly.
