UFC stormed the United Center with a grinder of a main event, a pair of walk-off spinning elbows, and a little bit of everything in between. Here’s how it all went down, bout by bout.

Alibi Idiris vs. Joseph Morales — Flyweight (TUF 33 Finale)

Morales set the tone early with clean boxing, back takes, and a kimura trap in R1 that nearly became a rear-naked choke before the horn. After pouring on pressure in R2, Morales snatched a triangle off a scramble for the finish.
Result: Joseph Morales def. Alibi Idiris via submission (triangle choke) — R2, 3:04

Dione Barbosa vs. Karine Silva — Women’s Flyweight

Slow burn early, but Silva’s pressure and clinch work kept adding up. Barbosa hit two big takedowns with crafty transitions, yet Silva stayed busier everywhere—especially from guard—closing strong and edging the cards.
Result: Karine Silva def. Dione Barbosa via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Edson Barboza vs. Drakkar Klose — Lightweight

Barboza chewed the legs and mixed in body kicks, but Klose’s forward march and right hand changed the geometry in R2. Down the stretch, Klose’s clinch control and timely counters carried two close frames.
Result: Drakkar Klose def. Edson Barboza via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Alexander Hernandez vs. Chase Hooper — Lightweight

High-pace stand-up until Hernandez detonated a right hand with two seconds left in the round, folding Hooper for a buzzer-beater TKO.
Result: Alexander Hernandez def. Chase Hooper via TKO (punches) — R1, 4:58

Jéssica Andrade vs. Loopy Godínez — Women’s Strawweight

Godínez boxed beautifully in R1, hit a dominant takedown to mount in R2, then survived Andrade’s late surge in a wild third. Cleanest work belonged to Loopy.
Result: Loopy Godínez def. Jéssica Andrade via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Gerald Meerschaert vs. Michał Oleksiejczuk — Middleweight

Oleksiejczuk stuffed early shots and uncorked a nasty combination; once GM3 wobbled, the Polish puncher pounced for a merciless ground-and-pound stoppage.
Result: Michał Oleksiejczuk def. Gerald Meerschaert via TKO (punches) — R1, 3:03

Baisangur Susurkaev vs. Eric Nolan — Middleweight

Nolan’s jab and right hands marked up the face in R1, but Susurkaev adjusted—chopping the legs, chaining takedowns, and taking the back for a squeeze-tight rear-naked choke.
Result: Baisangur Susurkaev def. Eric Nolan via submission (rear-naked choke) — R2, 2:01

Kai Asakura vs. Tim Elliott — Flyweight

Asakura landed the heavier early shots and a head kick, but Elliott’s veteran groove arrived in R2—level changes, top time, then a tight guillotine from mount for the tap.
Result: Tim Elliott def. Kai Asakura via submission (guillotine) — R2, 4:39

Jared Cannonier vs. Michael “Venom” Page — Middleweight

MVP’s speed and jab had Cannonier swinging at shadows, scoring two knockdowns over the first 10 minutes. Cannonier mounted Page in R3 for extended top control, but the banked damage and clean work kept it Page’s fight.
Result: Michael Page def. Jared Cannonier via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Geoff Neal vs. Carlos Prates — Welterweight

High-tempo striking clinic until Prates ripped a spinning back elbow with a second left in R1—an instant lights-out highlight.
Result: Carlos Prates def. Geoff Neal via KO (spinning elbow) — R1, 4:59

Lerone Murphy vs. Aaron Pico — Featherweight (Co-Main)

Pico’s pressure and clinch entries were on point—right up until Murphy timed a wicked spinning elbow mid-pursuit. One strike, one massive statement.
Result: Lerone Murphy def. Aaron Pico via KO (spinning elbow) — R1, 3:21

Dricus Du Plessis (c) vs. Khamzat Chimaev — Middleweight Title

Chimaev wrestled on rails—early takedown, side control, and multiple crucifix rides in R1–R4 that smothered the champ. DDP stuffed a late shot and took the back in the waning seconds, but the scoreboard was already lopsided. Sheer control, rinse, repeat, new champion.
Result: Khamzat Chimaev def. Dricus Du Plessis via unanimous decision (50-44, 50-44, 50-44) — wins UFC Middleweight Title

👊 MainEvent.News | Backstage Take

Two finishes will live on the sizzle reel: Prates and Murphy landing near-carbon-copy spinning elbows to close out their opponents. Beyond the fireworks, this card belonged to top-position patience—Chimaev’s crucifix clinic wasn’t glamorous, but it was championship-level control that froze Du Plessis’ offense for 20+ minutes. MVP’s points win showed his game travels against elite power, while Godínez’s polish suggests a legit title push at 115. Keep an eye on Susurkaev; that composure for a UFC debut against a tricky mover was big-league stuff.
