Dakota Johnson’s Materialists Sets Streaming Release Window
Celine Song’s Materialists, starring Dakota Johnson, Pedro Pascal, and Chris Evans, is reportedly headed to digital streaming later this month.
The romantic dramedy, which debuted in theaters on June 13, is expected to be available on premium video on demand (PVOD) starting Tuesday, July 22, according to When to Stream. While the release date has not been officially confirmed, the outlet has a strong track record with PVOD projections.
Written and directed by Past Lives filmmaker Celine Song, Materialists follows Lucy (Johnson), a sharp and ambitious New York City matchmaker caught between two very different men: her seemingly perfect new love interest, Harry (Pascal), and her flawed but familiar ex-boyfriend, John (Evans).
The film also stars Zoë Winters, Marin Ireland, Dasha Nekrasova, and Louisa Jacobson.
When Materialists hits digital platforms, it’s expected to be available for purchase at $24.99 and rental at $19.99 for 48 hours, via services such as Apple TV, Prime Video, Fandango at Home, and YouTube, according to a Prime Video listing.
